The home is conveniently located atop of Madison Valley. Madison Market, Trader Joes and Safeway are a few blocks away. This is a great walking neighborhood with Homer Harris Park and the YWCA just up the block. There's easy access to the "U", downtown, Lake Washington and the eastside.

The living room has vintage details including the fireplace, window/door moldings, coving and vintage arch. The front windows look east through the valley and on to Madrona. Opposite the fireplace are the French doors to the parlor.

The parlor has a closet and was used as the bedroom for the youngest one. There are privacy blinds attached to the French doors preserving their vintage character.

Just beyond the kitchen is the laundry room and back door. From there you can empty the car from the level-entry off-street parking space, get to the large multi-level deck and yard - all fully fenced. To the right of the bar is the hall leading to another bedroom, a full bath and basement stairs.

The updated kitchen has granite counters and gas cooking. The eating bar is open to the dining room allowing for conversation while preparing a meal.

The main floor rooms flow from one to another and comfortably allow for large gatherings. The parlor is to the left in this photo.

The dining room has the same vintage moldings as the living room - plus wainscoting and chair rail. Original oak flooring is throughout these rooms. The window looks onto the big fenced multi-level deck. To the left of the arch are stairs leading upstairs to the spacious master suite.

This is a main floor bedroom. The two windows let a lot of natural light in. A window to the right of this photo looks into the large fenced side yard.

The upper floor is an extended master suite. There is a row of book shelves in the foreground and another light-filled window behind this photo. Looking out the window near the bed you see....

...a beautiful view of Madison Valley, Madrona and the Cascades beyond.

This is the other part of the master suite. The far wall is completely closets. To the right of the closet is the master bath with a pedestal sink and shower. Above the closet is one of two sky lights. Out the vintage windows you see...

...Mt Rainier on those clear days.

The entertainment sized deck is fully enclosed. This photo does not fully convey how big the space is. The steps in the foreground lead to the back door near the kitchen. Behind the photo is the level off-street parking - also enclosed.

Walking beyond the parking space behind the house leads to the fenced side yard. The deck, parking area and side yard are in one large fenced space.

The full basement has tons of storage. In the foreground is a large workbench. To the left in this photo is a door for access to the back yard. There is a working toilet and plumbed shower. Neighborhood lore hints that Jimmy Hendrix once stayed down here. Who knows for sure?
